Microbiology and Public Health

Dimitri Gonzales
Dimitri was born and raised in the Central Valley of California, where he became aware of the need for primary care physicians. He hopes to return home and provide quality medical care to this oftenunderserved population. He says he entered UC San Diego as a timid freshman, afraid to step out of his comfort zone, very shy and honestly not interested in trying anything new. He joined the Rotaract Club as well as Camp Kesem and they became like a second family to him. He is now Lieutenant Governor of the Rotaract district and a Camp Kesem counselor.
